How long will a willow sculpture last?
Willow is a natural material that will gradually degrade over time. How long each sculpture lasts depends very much on their aftercare. All animals are finished with a high quality exterior varnish before leaving for their new homes and re-treatment is recommended on a regular basis to extend their lifespan. Details of which varnish we used for your animal are given on purchase of the sculpture. Animals exposed to very windy/sunny/frosty conditions may last less time than those in protected environments, but it is not unreasonable to expect a sculpture to last for a few years. Please note Trottiscliffe Willow cannot be held responsible for the time-frame for biodegradation or damage to the sculptures, however caused, or any injury arising from use or mis-use after purchase. However, the refurbishment or repair of animals may be possible - please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Is it only the animals on the website that can be made?
No. Any animal can be created but the ones that work best are those with easily identifiable shapes or features. Please contact to discuss which animal you would like and the budget available. Gift vouchers now available.
